RKG Corp ("we," "us," or "our") operates HECMCalc.com. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. RKG Corp is a licensed mortgage origination company. Our licensed loan originators are:

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • First and last name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • ZIP code
  • Estimated home value range
  • Calculator inputs (age, home value, existing mortgage balance)
  • Communication consent preferences (calls, SMS, email)

Information collected automatically when you visit:

  • Approximate geographic location (city, state, country) derived from your IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type and screen resolution
  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • Referring website (how you found us)
  • An anonymous visitor identifier stored in your browser's local storage

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage to assign an anonymous, randomly generated visitor ID to your browser. This ID does not contain your name or any personal information — it is used only to distinguish new visitors from returning visitors in our analytics. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

We also use cookies set by Google Analytics (see below). You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not function properly if you do.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

We use the following third-party services on this website. Each has its own privacy policy governing their data practices:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site (pages viewed, session duration, geographic region). Google may set cookies and collect usage data. See Google's Privacy Policy. You may opt out via Google Analytics Opt-out.
  • ipapi.co — We use this IP geolocation service to determine the approximate city, state, and country of visitors. Your IP address is sent to ipapi.co to retrieve this information. No personal form data is shared with ipapi.co. See ipapi.co Privacy Policy.
  • Google Workspace (Sheets & Apps Script) — Form submissions are securely stored in a private Google Sheet accessible only to RKG Corp principals. Google's infrastructure encrypts data in transit and at rest.
  • Google Fonts — Fonts are loaded from Google's servers. Google may log the request. See Google's Privacy Policy above.

5. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your HECM inquiry and deliver a proposal if requested
  • To contact you via phone, text, or email if you have provided consent
  • To improve our website, calculator, and user experience
  • To analyze traffic patterns and visitor demographics
  • To comply with applicable federal and state mortgage regulations

6. TCPA — Telephone Consumer Protection Act

If you provide your phone number and check the consent box on our contact form, you consent to receive calls and/or prerecorded messages from Kimberly and/or Raymond Gedstad at the number provided, including wireless numbers, regarding your HECM inquiry. If you also check the SMS consent box, you consent to receive text messages. Standard message and data rates may apply.

Consent is not required to purchase any product or service. You may revoke consent at any time by calling (970) 589-3335, replying STOP to any SMS, or contacting us via the form on our website.

7. Data Retention

Form submission data (name, contact info, loan inquiry details) is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill your inquiry and comply with applicable mortgage regulations, typically up to 3 years. Anonymous website analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' default retention settings (up to 14 months). You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Section 9).

8. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not share your contact information with lead aggregators or marketing brokers. Your information is used exclusively to respond to your direct inquiry with RKG Corp.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Withdraw consent for communications at any time
  • Opt out of analytics tracking (see Google Analytics Opt-out above)

10. California Residents — CCPA Rights

  • Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
  • Do Not Sell My Personal Information — We do not sell personal information. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide an opt-out mechanism.
